Martin Guptill, Blackcaps century-maker in Thursday's first One Day International at the Bay Oval against Sri Lanka, has been brought back down to earth in today's second ODI.
Just as on Thursday the Blackcaps lost an early wicket after winning the toss and choosing to bat first. This time though it was Guptill, caught behind by wicketkeeper Niroshan Dickwella off the bowling of veteran paceman Lasith Malinga, while fellow opener Colin Munro has had better fortune, going on to make 50.

Kane Williamson has also found himself taking the long walk back to the sheds early, going for just one, but after 23 overs his team had a big total in their sights again at 133/2.
Once again a big crowd is enjoying the match at the blue skies at the Bay Oval, but there is still plenty of room on the banks for those who may be thinking of coming in.
