The NZTA are advising motorist that there could be delays on State Highway 29a and SH2 following planned road works at the rail crossing by Baypark.

The road closure is set to take place this weekend with the section of the road being shut at 9pm on Friday March 22, and re-opening on Monday March 25 at 4am.

The NZTA says a detour will be in place.

'Expect minor delays or use alternate route.”

Detour route: Eastbound detour via Truman Lane and Sandhurst Bridge.

Westbound detour via Sandhurst Bridge and Truman Lane.
