Tauranga residents should expect a cloudy and drizzly week ahead.
A MetService spokesperson says despite the rain, temperatures will remain high, creating humid weather.
'It's still warm with 22 degrees expected as the high today and 17 overnight, and 24 degrees tomorrow.
'There is a bit of cloud around with the northerly wind, which is pushing a bit of moisture on to the land.
'Thursday will see a bit of rain and given the state of the gardens at the moment, that isn't necessarily a bad thing.”
After a few showers during the week, it's expected to fine up on Friday for the weekend.
