A police chase in the Western Bay of Plenty ended with a vehicle catching fire this morning.
A driver failed to stop for police at around 4am and fled in Whakamarama.
A police spokesperson says the car caught fire and was abandoned a couple of minutes later on Sargent Drive.
'Two people were immediately taken into custody.
'One other has been located and police are working to take them into custody also.”
