Te Puna's ‘Blue and Black Army' is continuing its march to the Baywide Club Rugby finals with three wins on Saturday, all against Greerton sides.

The Te Puna Senior Reserves are now into the final against Matakana Island next Saturday after yesterday's 39 points v Greerton Senior Reserve's 24.

Their other two teams also powered their way to wins with Te Puna Development 54 v Greerton Development 5, and Te Puna Premier 48 v Greerton Premier 5.

This year the Te Puna Rugby Club celebrates 100 years of playing the great game. Since its beginnings in 1919, Te Puna has produced a long list of top players including David 'Davie” Borrell, the Maori All Black who scored all the Bay's points against the 1921 Springboks in the Boks 17-9 win at Arawa Park in Rotorua.
