A horse trainer accused of sexually violating young girls and making recordings now faces nine new charges.

Laken Maree Rose, 29, denied sex crimes when she appeared with co-defendant Andrew Alan Williams, 52 in May.

The well-known Cambridge couple were arrested and charged with three representative charges. One of indecent assault, unlawful sexual connection and rape of an eight-year-old.

The offending is alleged to have occurred at a Bay of Plenty campground.

Crown prosecutors say the additional charges, laid against Rose at the Tauranga District Court last week, relate to the same police investigation.

The charges include four charges of making objectionable materials showing sexual violation of girls between five and 16 years old.

Two charges of sexual violation, as a party, of two girls aged three and five and the possession of objectionable material.

The police investigation into the couple has compiled nearly 2000 videos and 22,000 images with about 130,000 recordings still to view.

Rose is remanded in custody until her next appearance on August 22.
