Kia ora and welcome to Saturday.

Today we are expecting a fine day with southwesterlies and a high of 17 degrees. It's a three-clothing and one-windproof layer day, so make sure you are dressed warmly if heading outdoors. Overnight the temperature is expected to drop to 5 degrees.

On Sunday September 1, we should have another fine day with light winds, with a high of 16 and overnight low of 7 degrees.

Going into the week, Monday and Tuesday are forecast to be overcast, with rain developing later in the week.

Check out what's on today around the region.
