Brother cleans up Fraser Street Reserve

On Saturday afternoon, staff from Brother rolled up their sleeves to take part in a clean-up of Fraser Street Reserve.

The global tech business has its NZ headquarters in Tauranga, and decided to do their bit to pitch in and help keep the local environment clean.

'One of the things that makes Brother different and which we're passionate about is sustainability,” says company spokesperson Lucinda East Kennedy. 'Across the world, Brother has a programme called Brother Earth.

'Brother recognises that as a multinational manufacturer, we have a responsibility to not only ensure the business's impact on the environment is minimal, but that we work towards creating a better planet for our future.”

This commitment comes to life through their industry-leading Brother Earth programme which in NZ, and includes partnerships with the likes of Sustainable Coastlines.

Staffers from all areas of the business - including senior executives like Executive Chairman Graham Walshe, Director of Corporate Strategy & CSR Mayuko Hirose, and CFO Grant Young got stuck into picking up rubbish around Fraser Street Reserve on Saturday afternoon.
