It was a full day of rugby on Saturday for the Bay of Plenty, with the icing on the cake being the Bay of Plenty Steamers impressive 31-17 win over Taranaki.
Despite putting up a good fight, the Farah Palmer Cup game between Bay of Plenty Volcanix and Auckland Storm ended in a 28-19 win to Auckland. Next week the Volcanix team heads over the hill to face Waikato on Saturday.

Bay of Plenty U16 in Katikati on Saturday
Bay of Plenty U16 got the job done in Katikati, scoring a huge win over Thames Valley U16 with a final score of 77 - 0.
Bay of Plenty U18 Boys
Bay of Plenty U18 Boys also went all out to beat Thames Valley U18 with a score of 65 – 8, with a try nearly every five minutes during the first half.
It was a close game between Bay of Plenty U18 Girls and Taranaki U18 Girls, with Taranaki winning 31 -29.
Bay of Plenty Toa have finished fourth in the 2019 Jock Hobbs National Memorial U19 Tournament. Wellington beat them 34 -7.
