Two major events being held today between Bayfair and Papamoa will affect three of the Baybus bus routes due to road closures.

The Weetbix Kids TRYathlon and the Pak'nSave Papamoa Kiwiana Xmas Parade 2019 will be affecting Routes 30, 33 and The Goldline today.

The Bay of Plenty Regional Council have announced alternative routes for those affected by the road closures.

The Pak'nSave Papamoa Kiwiana Xmas Parade 2019 will affect Route 33 and the Goldline from 10am – 1pm today.

Between 10am and 1pm the Route 33 bus will travel along Domain Rd, Doncaster Dr, Longview Dr, then back onto the normal route along Dickson Rd in both directions. Route 33 will not go along Dickson Rd between Longview Dr and Domain Rd during the road closure.

For the trip towards Papamoa, between 10am and 1pm, the Goldline bus will travel along Papamoa Beach Rd then along Palm Beach Blvd into Gravatt Road then onto the end of the route on Gravatt Rd. This route will not go along Papamoa Beach Road between Palm Beach Blvd and Domain Rd, and will not go along Domain Rd between Papamoa Beach Rd and Gravatt Rd during the road closure.

For the trip towards Bayfair the Goldline will leave Gravatt Rd heading towards Papamoa East, then travel around the road closures via Domain Rd, Doncaster Dr, Longview Dr and Papamoa Beach Rd then back onto the normal route along Papamoa Beach Rd. This route will not go along Domain Road between Gravatt Rd and Papamoa Beach Rd during the road closure.

The Weetbix Kids TRYathlon will affect Routes 30, 33 and The Goldline until 2pm today.

For Route 30 and Route 33, trips from Bayfair towards Papamoa will not be impacted. Trips from Papamoa to Bayfair will divert along Hibiscus Ave and Gloucester Rd. These trips will not travel along Grenada St between Hibiscus Ave and Girven Rd.

For the Goldline route there will be no service along Monowai St during this closure. During the closure trips from Bayfair to Papamoa will travel along Grenada St to Sea Spray Dr, and will not go along Gloucester Rd. Trips from Papamoa to Bayfair will divert from Sea Spray Dr and turn left into Grenada St and travel around the road closures, turning into Hibiscus Ave and Gloucester Rd to Bayfair.
