A three-year-old girl has been flown to Waikato Hospital after sustaining a serious head injuring.

The Saturday evening flight is one three medical flights the TECT Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to in the weekend.

'They completed two hospital transfers, one from Whakatane Hospital to Auckland Hospital, and another one from Tauranga to Waikato Hospital,” says a Philips Search and Rescue Trust spokesperson.

'Both patients were suffering from a medical condition.”

In the evening, the crew completed another hospital transfer from Whakatane Hospital to Waikato Hospital for a three-year-old girl who was suffering from a serious head injury.
