Emergency services are currently attending a serious crash in Te Puke.

The crash has occurred at the intersection of Number Three Road and Macloughlin Drive.

Police were notified of the crash at 12.39pm.

'Initial reports suggest one person is seriously injured,” says a police spokesperson.

A SunLive photographer at the scene says a van has rolled at the intersection of No.3 Road and Macloughlin Drive.

"It has rolled onto its side and into a fence.

"Police are putting diversions in place.

"One ambulance is still on scene."

Police are asking the motorists to avoid the area.
