The gift of a brand new Hyundai all-wheel drive Santa Fe Elite for a year has the Mount Maunganui Barnes family planning a busy winter.
'There's going to be plenty of trips coming up this winter,” says Owen Barnes.
'We've got two kids who also surf, so they are into it as well. It is a seven-seater, so there might be a few extras.”

The Barnes were presented with the new Hyundai all-wheel drive Santa Fe Elite at Farmer Motor Group today after they entered the draw during the Hyundai Pro Longboard Tour.
'Two family members have to enter the event to go into the draw,' says Anna Barnes.
'Every family that surfs in every event gets an entry in the Hyundai hat. It's a pretty nice experience to have a brand new car.”
Both Owen and Anna competed in the tournament, with Owen in the Open section and Anna in the Womens.
Hyundai New Zealand has been the major supporter and title sponsor of the National Surfing Championships for seven years, as part of its long standing partnership with Surfing New Zealand.
As well as the nationals, Hyundai New Zealand also supports the longboarding and stand up paddle boarding events as part of the Hyundai Tour, which ran from January to March.
The family get the use of the Hyundai, powered by a 145kw R series four cylinder diesel, for a year.
Hyundai NZ general manager Andy Sinclair says Hyundai has offered the one year's use of a vehicle for the last seven years.
'They all have the option to buy it at the end.” says Andy.
Otherwise the returned vehicles go into the Hyundai dealer fleet, where there is a shortage of second hand vehicles.
The Barnes also receive a free weekly vehicle wash at the Farmer Motor Group on Hewletts Road.

Fantastic news about Owen Barnes getting free use of a new vehicle. He's become a Mount legend over the last 30 years or more, and a great role model and inspiration to hordes of surfers young and old with his easy-going sportsmanship and consistently high performance. I think he should be given the Hyundai to keep.
