More houses sold in Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty in February than in January, according to the latest figures from the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand.
There were 65 houses sold in the Western Bay district and 92 in Tauranga last month.
Figures show 52 houses sold in the Mount Maunganui and Papamoa area, up from 40 in January.
Median house prices in the area increased to $434,000 in February from $395,500 in January.
In Tauranga, median house prices increased marginally to $350,000 from $349,000 in January.
