Tauranga waste collections over Easter

File photo.

Heading towards Easter, Tauranga City Council wants to let the community know how rubbish collection services will be managed over the two public holidays.

All collections that would take place on Good Friday, April 10, will take place on Saturday, April 11, instead.

Easter Monday collections will take place as normal, says a council spokesperson.

"While it may not quite feel like a holiday this year, we hope you'll find a way to enjoy the day."

Kerbside Waste Collections

For residents in the Otumoetai / Bureta / Matua / Brookfield / Bellevue / Judea North and Bethlehem North areas, please note that no waste collections will take place on Good Friday, April 10.

This applies to all rubbish (bags/ bins), glass crates, recycling bin, and garden waste collections.

Collections will take place on Saturday, April 11, instead. People are asked to please put bins, bags and crates out at the normal time.

Rubbish collection will take place as normal on Easter Monday, April 13.

Transfer stations and recycle centres are closed to the public until the end of the lockdown.

This is to reduce non-essential travel and ensure the safety of our staff. Please use regular kerbside rubbish and recycling collection services instead.

Go to www.Tauranga.govt.nz/covid19 for further information about council services during this period.
