New Zealanders are invited to have dinner with kiwi entertainers and a rugby star.

Rugby player Ardie Savea, musician Vince Harder and comedians Guy Williams and Hayley Sproull have come together for a virtual dinner experience.

Lockdown has seen a rise in virtual drinks and dinner parties across the country, with Kiwis being unable to share a meal with friends and family.

The 20-minute Live Feeds event will take place on HelloFresh's Facebook page from 7.00pm tonight will see the celebs sitting down together to enjoy a gourmet recipe they will have just whipped up.

Whilst, they invite New Zealanders into their homes to share in the fun, laughs and party tricks of the live event.

Kiwis will get a sneak peek into the lives of some of our most famous faces as they sit down to eat a meal together, share some banter, rate each other's cooking and play games.

Social media fans from around the country will also have the opportunity to interact with the celebrities during the dinner - providing questions and real-time commentary on their cooking skills!

To kick things off the stars will each have to show the meal they've prepared next to the image from the recipe and find out who has done the best job of plating up the dish.

Savea says he was keen to take part in the live event and looks forward to getting together to share a delicious meal alongside some of New Zealand's famous faces and sharing in the laughs.

'I like food and connecting with people so this was perfect and I was totally up for it.”

Savea says he used to be a terrible cook but with his wife's patience and the recipe cards he's starting to improve.

'This is a great opportunity to bring people together during a challenging time, food helps to connect us all, and I'm actually enjoying the process of learning how to cook myself.”

Vince says while he's no professional in the kitchen he enjoys cooking and is looking forward to taking on his fellow competitors and having a laugh with Kiwis while doing it.

'I think food is one of the easiest ways to get people connecting with each other, great food and good company create classic memories for life. It will be fun to prepare something that's simple and tastes good.”
