Te Puke run riot in Rotorua

Defending PGG Wrightson Baywide Premier titleholders Te Puke Sports ran riot against Waikite at the Rotorua teams headquarters at the Bellvue Road Reserve posting an emphatic 89-5 victory on Saturday.

New Zealand Sevens player Jack Wilson certainly made his mark in his first premier game for Te Puke running in five touchdowns. While Wilson had played for the Te Puke Colts before departing for the South Island the afternoon romp was his first match for the Te Puke first team.

Te Puke's points scoring machine Nick McCashin had grand day in the Rotorua sun, posting a 44 points during the encounter.

The Waikite players could only watch as McCashin ran in four tries and converted all but one of his teams 13 touchdowns.
