Magic loses fourth match in a row

The Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic has suffered yet another loss at the weekend to Melbourne Vixens in their fourth round ANZ Championship clash in Melbourne.

The devastatingly close 40-39 match is the fourth loss for Magic this season, leaving them to remain the only team in the competition who hasn't yet won a single game.

The Magic led the way through most of the match up 39 – 34 points with five minutes to play when the Melbourne Vixens made their move ending the match 40 points to the Magic's 39.

SunLive talked to Magic coach Noeline Taurua who is trying to stay positive

``I wouldn't recommend what we're going through but we have been forced to really learn about why we have failed thus far and not get scared or beat ourselves up about it too much,'' says Noeline.

This is the fourth defeat in a row for the Magic.

Sometimes it is just bad luck. This match could have gone either way. It was a much improved Magic against a really tough opposition. Don't let it get you down; do the work and hang in there. Go Magic!
