People wanting to use the popular Papamoa Hills waking track will have to wait for about three to five days.

Parts of the summit and the Papamoa Hills Poplar Lane carpark are closed from today.

A sign at the track says it will be closed from today until September 11.

The closure is to allow upgrades to the main walking track.

'Closure dates are weather dependent and will be confirmed on www.facebook.com/boprc and www.boprc.govt.nz/papamoahills.”
