Swings, slides, seasaws, balancing beams, stepping logs and an in-ground trampoline are just some of the ideas that could be going into a new playground design for Kulim Park.
Tauranga City Council is inviting residents to have their say on a new playground.
"The playground at Kulim Park is more than 20 years old," says a Council spokesperson.
"We are planning to upgrade it as part of some overall changes to the park. To help ensure our design meets your needs, we would like to hear your feedback for the new playground or any other improvements to the equipment."
Suggestions for new types of play equipment include a spinner, carousel, climbing net, natural play, flying fox, hamster wheel, junior bike loop, and spider ropes.

How about forgetting new ideas and spending what little money TCC might surprisingly have left over, on something that REALLY matters!! eg. rates reduction - ha ha !

You could have all of the suggested made and installed for $50k tops. And it would be plenty good enough. But I predict some contractor buddies are going to be bidding to do it for a million bucks and the dopes in charge will sign it off. Nudge nudge wink wink.
Great idea
