Junior motocross riders had the chance to learn from two of the sport's top riders at a special training session in Whakamarama on Saturday.
Logan Blackburn and Scott Barr-Smith taught 14 riders, some as young as four-years-old, about the finer points of safety and how to handle their bikes.
Motocross champion Scott Barr-Smith instructs the riders.
The pint sized riders then tested their new skills by sailing over jumps and racing at speed on Track 54 in Whakamarama.
Organisers say they showed incredible control in handling their bikes through tight corners, much to the delight of their supportive and proud parents.
The training day ended with the junior riders watching in awe as their tutors put on their own display of bike handling.
The event was organised by the Tauranga Motorcycle Club.
