Mauao will be closed this week, including an all mountain closure, for the upgrading and resurfacing of the Waikorire track.

As helicopters will be used during these works, the closures are to ensure public safety.

Waikorire track will be closed from 8am Monday, October 12 until 4pm Friday, October 16.

All of Mauao will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday and possibly Friday if needed. All tracks will be closed from 7am to 4.30pm, Wednesday October 14 and Thursday October 15 Also on Friday October 16 if needed.

This means, there will be no public access during this time.

Signage and barriers will be in place at all closure points. Closures will be weather dependent.
Access to the summit on Monday and Tuesday will be via the 4x4 track and the Oruahine track - and on Friday, if works are complete.
