Steamers thrash Canterbury

The Bay of Plenty Steamers thrilled fans on Saturday afternoon when they thrashed Canterbury.

The full time score was 44 to 8 with the Steamers dominating the game from beginning to end at the Tauranga Domain, and shifting themselves off the bottom of the Mitre 10 Cup Premiership table.

The Steamers powered through three tries in the first 21 minutes, going on to score another three tries. The half time score was 22 to 3, with Canterbury starting the second half more positively but failing to make any solid headway.
