Chiefs’ co-captain re-signs

Chiefs co-captain Craig Clarke has re-signed with the Chiefs until the end of 2013.

In his fourth season with the side, the 28-year-old lock describes his reasons for staying with the Chiefs for another season as pretty simple.

Chiefs co-captain Craig Clarke.

'I am having too much fun to go anywhere. This is a great environment to work and play in, and one that I am thoroughly enjoying - so why move.”

Coach Dave Rennie says Craig is incredibly hard working with great values.

'His re-signing is good news for us and the fans.

'Craig's professionalism, leadership and commitment, continue to make him a great asset to the Chiefs family.”

Craig is a former Hurricane, Crusader, 2002 New Zealand U19s and 2004 U21s (Junior All Blacks) World Cup winner.

He was the captain of Taranaki and picked up the Ranfurly Shield with his ITM Cup side last year.
