Southwesterly airflow lies over NZ

People will notice a cooler change this morning.

A southwesterly airflow lying over New Zealand today is bring a cooler change.

The weather is looking mostly fine today, with the odd cloud hanging around in the morning.

WeatherWatch.co.nz is forecasting cloudy areas for the western North Island, with a risk of a shower or two, otherwise mainly dry.

'The Bay Of Plenty is mainly sunny after any morning cloud breaks away,” says a spokesperson for the weather organisation.

'Cloudy about Wellington, Wairarapa and southern Hawke's Bay with the odd shower, drying out from this afternoon and some sun may start to break through.

"Further north conditions are sunnier then cloud thickens up this evening. South to southwesterly winds, tending westerly this afternoon south of Taranaki in the west.”
