There will be Anzac Day memorial and remembrance services held across the Western Bay next Sunday, with thousands expected to turn out to honour all those who have served New Zealand in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.

Te Puke, Katikati, Maketu, Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, Papamoa and Pyes Pa will all be holding services, some at dawn and others later in the morning.

Anzac Day is a national day of commemoration observed on April 25 each year. It commemorates those who died serving New Zealand during war while honouring returned and current servicemen and women, past and present.

Everyone is invited to come to one of the many services being held this Anzac Day, Sunday, April 25. Groups who want to march in the parades are asked to assemble by the times given below for each location.
