Lights success to most

Has Noel Peterson got the same optician as Ross Ogle? Or just the same attitude as he cannot see that the lights and roundabout upgrade are successful either.
It seems quite ironic if not hypocritical that Noel Peterson and the Harbourwatch Brigade are complaining about what they see as a failure of a makeshift project with the lights and yet he wants them to create a bigger one by 3 laning Turret Rd and using a tidal flow system, (but by then it will be all the council's fault anyway).
I agree that we all want to keep the pohutukawas and shoreline intact but there has to be a compromise either by putting 4 lanes inside or 2 inside and 2 outside on a bridge or viaduct, because sooner or later it has to happen. Maybe we could tunnel under it all and come out at Welcome Bay Noel, it makes about as much sense as 3 laning and tidal flow eh!. Get Hayden Evans on to it, he's got all the answers. Three laning and tidal flow will only last for a few years and then it will have to be all torn up and made into 4 lanes to cope with the increased traffic flow anyway so surely it must be cheaper to do it once and do it right, rather than having to do it twice and getting criticized for the lack of foresight the first time (probably by you). In your eyes the lights are a failure but in my eyes and I suspect most people's eyes they are a success. The roundabout and lights upgrade should make our lives a lot easier in the meantime. Switch off the lights at your own peril because a lot of us will be looking for you if you do, we might even give you the job of pointsman on the roundabouts seeing you're an expert.
A Chapman, Ohauiti.
