Dance fever to hit Tauranga

Tauranga couples will be donning their dance shoes this December to help raise money for Life Education.

Dancers involved are all local community heroes with no previous dance experience.

They sacrifice several months of their personal time training to perfect their performances, ready to wow an audience come event night.

Funds raised from the event support the hosting Trust to provide the Healthy Harold Programme to children in the community.

The latest couple to join the dance journey are Paul Filipo and Amanda Hohneck.

Check out them out below.

Paul Filipo

Paul is an account manager for Supreme Lock and Hardware.

Originally from Auckland, Paul moved to the BOP after meeting his wife, Julie.

While his formal dancing experience is very limited, he and his wife attended formal dance lessons before their wedding.

He says he is looking for the experience and hopes everyone enjoys the night out.

Amanda Hohneck

Amanda volunteers for the Make a Wish Foundation and works in the power industry.

She is an upbeat mum who has a passion for people, community and wellbeing.

Living in Mount Maunganui, she enjoys the great outdoors, and creating life changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

As a keen advocate in coordinating and supporting a number of causes throughout her career, Amanda did not hesitate when asked to participate in the Dance for Life event.

She says she is thrilled for the experience and opportunity to gain awareness for this amazing charity which inspired her as a youth.
