Full of self-righteous indignation... and suppressing opinion!

Mr Rogers, I have to hand a copy of the Sun article heading Crisis? What crisis? by Andrew Campbell.
This article confirms my suspicion that you are a propaganda vehicle for the District Council.
Of the 800 words submitted by me you have chosen to print 45. The balance of some 500 words you quote the mayor.
In addition you printed full page ads and distributed a 38 page publication by the Council.
Your editorials are full of self righteous indignation at perceived hypocrisy - look at yourself.
I am lodging a complaint with the Press Council and at public forums the actions of the Sun will be discussed.
You think you can suppress opposing argument and are impervious to local opinion -we shall see.
Geoff Harper. (former WBOPDC councillor)

Editor's note:
Go for it! We welcome Press Council consideration.
The district council, or any other organisation or company, is entitled to purchase any amount of advertising. It clearly works well.
For readers' information, the article referred to is a copy of the draft story to appear elsewhere in this edition. It was supplied out of courtesy to Mr Harper, before publication.
It is the job of a journalist to cut through verbiage and get to the point.
Also, this must be the first time in history a newspaper has been taken to the Press Council before a story has been published!
As for the Sun supposedly suppressing local opinion, what are these four pages of letters for?
Mr Harper's views are clearly expressed, prominently as the lead story on page 3. You can't get much better than that. It goes to show that some people are just never happy.
