A car fire that prompted an emergency services callout is being treated as arson.

Emergency services were called to the blaze on Turret Road at 3.30am.

A police spokesperson says the fire was handled by firefighters at the scene.

'This fire is being treated as suspicious and enquires are ongoing.”

People with information about the fire or any suspicious activity leading up to it, are asked to contact their nearest police station.
