A truck has reportedly taken out a traffic light at the Brookfield intersection.

A caller to the 0800 SunLive News Hotline says a truck has hit a traffic light while turning the corner at the intersection of Otumoetai Road and Bellevue Road.

The caller says they were behind the truck as it turned the corner and because it is an articulated tuck it hit the lights.

'I feel sorry for the driver,” they say.

They say it happened around 12pm and there was no one hurt.

Another caller says the truck has let the scene and it is a 'free for all in terms of traffic at that intersection”.
