A fast-food restaurant in Tauranga has been identified as a location of interest in relation to a probable Omicron case.
The KFC on Cameron Road has been named as a potential exposure risk.
Anyone who was at the location on Thursday, January 20 between 5pm and 10.16pm is being asked to self-isolate, test immediately and on day five after you were exposed at this location of interest.
Further isolation and testing requirements will be provided by Public Health.
'Record your visit online or call Healthline so our contact tracers can get in touch,” is the official MOH advice.
SunLive contacted the Ministry of Health following a number of enquries about whether or not the case had been in the restaurant itself, or through the drive-thru.
The Ministry of Health responded by saying; "we appreciate the local interest in this location of interest, but for privacy reasons, we don't share that level of information about locations of interest.
"The important thing to note is the health advice for those who were there at the time, and may have been exposed."
The news comes after two cases of Omicron were confirmed in Tauranga earlier this week.
A suspected case was also present at the BestStart Pyes Pā on January 19 and was likely infectious at the time.
There were 59 children and 15 staff in attendance at the time.
All people present at the childhood centre at the time are being treated as close contacts, being asked to isolate, and get tested immediately, says a statement from the ministry.
BestStart deputy CEO Fiona Hughes told SunLive that safety was 'paramount” in their response to the news.

Well it seems the horse has bolted, if KFC was a place of interest on the 20th and we are now the 27th and they say to self-isolate, test immediately and on day five, that makes no sense, well to me anyway. Delays in the process between people getting sick and tested and report to just to long to work JIMO
