New locations of interest in Tauranga announced

Two flights into Tauranga and the Citizens Club RSA in Te Puke have been listed as close contact locations by the Ministry of Health.

Anyone who flew on Flight NZ5804 Christchurch to Tauranga on Wednesday February 9 from 12pm to 2pm is considered a close contact if seated in row 13, 14, 15, 16, 17.

Anyone who flew on Flight NZ8262 Wellington to Tauranga on Tuesday February 8 from 7.15pm to 8.30pm is also considered a close contact if seated in row 9, 10, 11, 12, 13.

The Citizens Club RSA at 179 Jellicoe Street, Te Puke has also been listed as a close contact location. Anyone visiting there on Saturday February 12 between 6pm - 10.30pm is considered to be a close contact.

The Ministry of Health advise that all close contacts self-isolate for seven days, and test on day 5 after being exposed at this location of interest. Monitor symptoms for 10 days. Test again if you feel unwell.

"Record your visit online or call Healthline so our contact tracers can get in touch," says a Ministry of Health spokesperson.
