Organisers of the popular One Love Festival are expected to make an announcement about the future of the 2022 event next week.
The original event date was postponed due to current red light settings in January.
Organisers hoped things would be able to take place in April, but warned they may have to cancel the festival if we remained in red in March.
In a post on Facebook today, organisers say the current Omicron situation in New Zealand 'isn't looking good whānau and while we're optimistic, we also need to be real”.
'We are currently working with all of our artists, suppliers and contractors now and we will be making an announcement about One Love Festival next Wednesday, March 16, which is earlier than we originally planned.
'We're currently working on options to ensure that ticket holders have an outcome they are happy with which is our main priority and this will include the ability for you to get a refund on the face value of your tickets with a one week time frame to do this, or the ability for you to roll your tickets over to 2023.
'While we finalise all of this, please be patient.”
