Police are reporting minor injuries from a crash involving a police van and car.

A police spokesperson says that at 4.50pm, a police van and a car collided at the intersection of Te Matai Road and Pyes Pa Road.

"The police van was being driven by two authorised officers who were transporting two remand prisoners.

"The prisoners were uninjured, the two authorised officers received minor injuries.

"The driver of the car received moderate injuries."

Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
