Tauranga boys' super win

Tauranga Boys' College took away another victory yesterday against Hastings Boys' High winning 19 – 3 in wet and muddy conditions.

Hooker Devon Church was awarded player of the day and tries were scored by Carlin Tata tight-head prop, Simon Malu winger and Joel Drafin number seven.

Coach Jason Spice says the game was played in probably the worst conditions of the season.

'The opposition put up a physical fight but they were never really in the game. Unless you like watching people falling over in the mud it wasn't much of a spectator event,” says Jason.

The Super Eight is a regional rugby competition for the eight central North Island boys schools.
