Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is advising motorist that the Te Puke Highway, near Pah Road, will be reduced to a single lane on Monday July 18.
The lane closure is needed to allow contractors to safely repair the road surface and shoulder, says a NZTA spokesperson.
To minimise delays for motorists, manual stop/go controls will be in place to allow contractors on the ground to actively monitor and manage traffic.
The work is planned to take place on Monday July 18, between 9am and 4pm, and is weather dependant.
Waka Kotahi is urging drivers to take extra care when travelling through the site and ensure their own safety and the safety of road workers by complying with the temporary 30km per hour speed limit, and following the directions of traffic management staff.
Waka Kotahi thanks motorists for their patience while we undertake this important safety work.

The sheer and absolute incompetence of this project better reflect on these contractors in any/if any... future bid they might try for. The road should have been FINISHED 100% more than a week ago.... yea the potholes arent going to fix themselves or go away... nah... that is the standard of SH2 or dont you see past your cars bonnet?
