Passed peacefully on Sunday, 11 September 2022 in her 90th year. Dearly loved wife and partner of 51 years to Adrian (deceased). Much-loved and cherished mother to Michael, Peter (deceased), Matthew, Stephen, Amy and Suzanne. Treasured Granny to Michael and partner Hayley, Tania and partner Joao, Peter, Jaimi, Michelle, and Brianna. Great grandmother to Charlie and Ada. Mother-in Law to Pippa, Shane, Maree, Conor and Carrie. Beloved sister, aunty, and great aunty to the Johnston and Fittall family descendants.

A private cremation will be held at Daphne's request. This will be followed by a celebration of Daphne's life, on Monday 19th September at 2.00 pm at Charlemagne Lodge, 2 Loop Road, Te Puna.

Mum, you held our hands when we were small, you never let us fall.

You were the one constant, steadfast figure in our lives. Your unconditional love, personal strength and tenacity shaped who we are today.

We are eternally grateful for the sacrifices you made for us and every time we think of you, it is with great pride and much love.

Although we will miss you, we know you will always be by our side. In laughter and in sorrow, in sunshine and in rain, we know you're watching over us until we meet again.

Your spirit will always remain in our hearts.
