Anchor is serving up nutritious pre-race fuel at the Santarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon today at Arataki Park.
Anchor believes that a great day starts with great nutrition, which is why it's fuelling this year's TRYathletes with the goodness of Weet-Bix and Anchor Lite Milk in the Mount Maunganui Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon event, says the organisers.
"Anchor has been nourishing Kiwi kids with the goodness of Anchor Milk since 1886, and as a platinum sponsor of the iconic Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon series, it is committed to ensuring every Kiwi kid taking part starts the day with a nutritious breakfast."
Approximately 30,000 kids aged between 6 and 15 are expected to participate across the 12 Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon and 24 in-school TRY Challenge events combined, all of which are taking place around the country this summer.
Children competing at the Mount Maunganui event will be able to visit the official breakfast tent to fuel up with Anchor Lite Milk and Weet-Bix – an iconic combination that provides at least 30 per cent of their recommended daily calcium needs in every serve.

Amavi Mey, Community Engagement Manager, says the free breakfast will ensure every TRYathlete starts the day with the right nutrients in order to be at their best on race day.
'At Anchor we believe a great day starts with great nutrition, so we wanted to help make sure every Kiwi kid taking part in the Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon this year has the energy they need to get them through race day,” says Amavi.
"Anchor already helps to nourish our communities through the KickStart Breakfast programme, a partnership between Fonterra, the Ministry of Social Development and Sanitarium, which provides a free, nutritious breakfast of Anchor Milk and Weet-Bix at schools in an inclusive and welcoming environment."

'Anchor sponsoring the Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon is a natural extension of our on-going KickStart Breakfast partnership as both brands have strong grass-roots in the community," says Amavi.
'Anchor Lite Milk is a great milk for active, growing kids, as it's packed with calcium, important for building healthy bones.
'We're really pleased to be part of this year's Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon and congratulate the team on having 500,000 kids cross the finish line over the last 30 years.”
The Mount Maunganui Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon event is taking place today Sunday November 27, with the Anchor Breakfast tent open for participants from 7am.
