Keen walkers are being warned to prepare for closures of two popular walking tracks in Tauranga next week.
A section of the Daisy Hardwick walkway, between the Goods Road and Maxwells Road entrances, will be closed on Tuesday, December 13, from 8am until 1pm.
A Tauranga City Council spokesperson says the closure will be in place to ensure public safety while arborists remove a fallen tree from the track.
"The rest of the track will remain open during this time."

Meanwhile, a walking track on Mauao will be closed on Wednesday.
The Oruahine track on Mauao will be closed from 7am to 5pm, says a Tauranga City Council spokesperson.
"The closure will be in place to ensure public safety while a crew abseil over the Oruahine bluffs to carry out vegetation works. Signage and barriers will be in place at the closure points.
"Access to the summit will still be possible via the Waikorire and Motukauri tracks."
If works cannot take place on Wednesday, a backup day of Thursday, December 15, will be in place.
