Katikati and the public further afield have until tomorrow to vote in the Seeka Avocado Cafe Competition, which is vying to find the best avocado-themed morsel in the town this month!

Acknowledged as the Avocado Capital of New Zealand, Katikati has three cafes serving up an avocado themed dish in the competition's people's choice category.

They are the Talisman Hotel, Flatwhite Café and Common Ground Café.

Customers are encouraged to compare the presentation and flavour of each avocado-inspired dish, make their vote and they could be in to win one of two $50 vouchers.

A mystery judge determines the winner of the Judged Award category via an anonymous sampling. The winner will be announced at the Katikati Avocado Food & Wine Festival on January 14 at Uretara Domain.

The public is invited to vote for their favourite dish from the competing by Thursday, December 22, using the voting boxes at participating cafes.
