Police are conducting enquires into a ram raid that took place overnight at Arataki.

"At around 4.40am this morning, a group of offenders have used a vehicle to gain access to a liquor store on Girven Road," says a police spokesperson.

"They have taken off with a number of items."

The incident was reported to Police at about 6am and enquiries are now underway.
