UPDATE 1.27pm: Power has been restored to Matakana Island following an earlier outage.

The remaining power outages are being reported in Whangamata and Te Puke.

According to PowerCo, the Whangamata outage occurred at 12.18pm, and is currently impacting 571 properties. There is a site investigation underway to determine the cause. Power is expected to return at 4.30pm.

In Te Puke, the outage occurred at 11.11am and is impacting 64 properties. There is also a site investigation underway to determine the cause. Power is expected to return at 3.15pm.

For Matakana Island, the power outage occurred at 7.10am. There were 90 properties affected. According to PowerCo, the cause was from "damaged equipment". Power is has since been restored to the area.
