Photographers with an eye for adventure will not want to miss out on this exciting opportunity.

Bay Conservation Alliance is announcing a photography competition where winners will receive a double pass to zip line through the sky with Rotorua Canopy Tours.

"The exciting 3-hour forest journey takes you through a network of zip lines, swing bridges, walking trails and tree top platforms, while learning about Canopy Tours' conservation efforts and the rare and remarkable native birds found in the forest," says a Bay Conservation Alliance spokesperson.

'The theme is ‘New Zealand Native Species or Community Conservation Action', so your photo needs to feature NZ plants, animals or communities in action (preferably in the Bay of Plenty)”, says Bay Conservation Alliance CEO Michelle Elborn.

The Bay of Plenty showcases a range of amazing ecosystems from mountains to sea. Within these ecosystems live a range of treasures from colourful fungi, to frogs to native birds and invertebrates, not to mention the amazing people supporting great community conservation action.

'Through this competition we hope to encourage people to get out and about and enjoying the nature that exists on our doorstep and capture some of those moments to share in our photo competition. We also encourage the many conservation volunteers out there to capture the work that they do, as this is a great way of inspiring others,” said Michelle.

The competition closes on Tuesday, January 31. To find out more on the terms and conditions and how to enter, visit Bay Conservation Alliances Facebook page.

"A massive thank you to Canopy Tours for sponsoring our competition – you guys rock," says the Bay Conservation Alliance spokesperson.
