Died peacefully at Tauranga Hospital.

Will be sadly missed by wife Elaine, sons Alastair Grant and his wife Tess, and Gavin and his wife Kelly.

Will be sadly missed by his seven grandchildren and their partners, and by his three great granddaughters.

Also by his brother Stuart (Masterton) and sister Margaret and Warren Thompson (Auckland), and by all his nieces and nephew.
