Born Ayr, Queensland, Australia on January 8, 1935 and passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Malyon House, Mount Maunganui on March 13, 2023, aged 88.

Loving mother and mother-in-law of Debbie and John Burke, Kim and Sue Brown, Patti Brown, grandmother of James, Katie, Rebecca; Joshua, Murphy; and Oli and great grandmother of Fred, Arlo and Oscar.

A celebration of Joanie's life will be held at the Pyes Pa Memorial Park Crematorium Chapel, 403 Pyes Pa Road, Tauranga on Saturday, March 18 at 2.00pm.
