Tauranga Historic Village is celebrating all the different cultures today that make Tauranga a vibrant, diverse place to live.
Tauranga Multicultural Festival has been a flagship event in the city since 1998, providing yummy food, a variety of performances and more. Head to the Village today, Saturday March 18 from 10am – 5pm, and don't miss the parade of nations at noon. Entry is by gold coin donation.
Kick off your multiculturalism day at The Village's new hospitality spot A'si'dle, run by mother and son duo Berta and Ivan. Try a delicious boere breakfast, a South African-style fry-up that takes place every Saturday morning. Make sure you book as there are limited places available.
Tauranga's creative community hub has a packed weekend of art, film, music and delicious food to enjoy.Hawkes Bay Arts Community Fundraiser Exhibition. The exhibition is made up of art donated by the community, so you're bound to find something unique and affordable. All funds raised will be donated to the grassroots arts groups in the Hawkes Bay that were impacted by Cyclone Gabrielle flooding.

The Jam Factory has three great gigs over the weekend. Band and Deliver is a youth/college band event which featured four groups from across Tauranga and Waihi on Friday evening. On Saturday, The RVMES will play an energy-packed indie gig, and on Sunday Red Street takes the stage playing their original tunes.
