Bikes and cash stolen in Mount burglaries

Police are asking members of the public to report any suspicious activity.

Police have increased patrols in Mount Maunganui following number of burglaries and attempted break-ins.

Mount Maunganui area response manager Senior Sergeant Deidre Lack says police can confirm there have been a number of burglaries and attempted break-ins at commercial premises in Maunganui Road during March.

'The items stolen include an e-bike, mountain bike, and cash.

'The incidents have all happened during the night, and police are asking nearby residents to be vigilant of any suspicious behaviour.

'Police have increased patrols in the area, and if people see anyone acting suspiciously they should report it immediately by calling 111.”
