A sentimental locket dated 1946 found in a local carpark has been returned to its owner.
Greenpark School teacher Natasha Hoskin found the locket a few weekends ago, and decided to ask the community for help in getting it back to who it belongs to.
Natasha says a person contacted her through SunLive saying it was her locket, which originally belonged to her late mother.
'She sounded absolutely thrilled to have it back, it was hugely sentimental to her.
'She told me her children always ask ‘why do you wear it?' and it's because she likes to carry a bit of her mum along with her.”
Natasha says the person was out tramping with some friends, and thought 'it might be gone forever” if she dropped it in the bush.
'She only realised afterwards it was missing, and was apparently told by one of her friends that the locket from the article looked like the one she wears.
'I'm just so glad the community could come together. It made me emotional hearing her story and being able to give the sentimental piece back to her.”

... to see a good outcome that reminds us in these dark times, that Human Beings are not ALL selfish and evil.
