UPDATE 3.23pm: A two-vehicle collision has reportedly resulted in a vehicle hitting a pole in Matua, according to a police spokesperson.

Police were alerted to the incident at 2.45pm.

"One person received moderate injuries and another person received minor injuries.

"There are no reports of road blockages.

"Enquiries are ongoing."

EARLIER 2.49pm: A car has crashed into a pole in Matua.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE number says there "is crash" on Levers Road, near Smiths Road.

A photo sent to SunLive show the vehicle has sustained extensive damage in the crash.

It is not yet known if there are any injuries.

People are advised to expect delays in the area.
